This activity, for example, was created for Russian ESL learners but can serve as a model for you to create a similar activity more appropriate for your students. It is good to talk about different places, compare them, and be able to describe them to people. Students will enjoy sharing their views of certain locations and some will certainly feel very strongly about cities while others will prefer the countryside. This is just one way to incorporate this topic into your lessons.
