This is a simple but fun worksheet that you might consider giving students before winter break. It is the recipe for gingerbread cookies which students may enjoy baking with their families. Be sure to check that the ingredients are readily available in your country before handing this out. Another cooking worksheet posted here http://busyteacher.org/1078-cooking_time.html is designed to help students practice countable and uncountable nouns as well as food related vocabulary. It includes all the materials for a fun group activity. You may want to make up your own recipe cards using dishes that are common in your country to make the assignment more relevant to the everyday lives of your students. There are more worksheets available so be sure to explore this section further. For additional lesson ideas, read the article and the warmer posted on this page.
