It would be safe to say that for the majority of the planet December is more fun than any other month of the year. It's all those Christmas (or some other cultural/ethnic equivalent) decorations, festive songs, suspense of giving and receiving presents, joyful celebrations and some closure people get as the end of the year approaches. This can only mean one thing: it's time to make your lessons more fun and joy rather than hard work you had to do with your students in the previous months.
We are happy to invite you to browse our collection of 174 December worksheets which are there to help you set up amazing and challenging festive and year-roundup classes, theme celebration sessions, 'how they celebrate in different countries' activities and 'welcome New Year!' lessons.
Our 'calendar' worksheets will give you ideas for the last month of the year in terms of holidays, events and celebrations - like you do not have enough of them in your mind already! But if you find an opportunity to add some variety to your classroom, the occasions can include Special Education Day, Bill of Rights Day, Wright Brothers Day, or Rudyard Kipling birthday anniversary. And, of course, there is Christmas and Hanukkah and Kwanzaa (or whatever they call it in your part of the world!) - give your students some background information on the history and origin of these holidays, or encourage them to find that information themselves and present or discuss it in class.
All the materials are free for all registered Busyteacher.org users. Knock yourself out downloading them and putting them to a good use in your classroom!
