Looking to discuss family and friends in your ESL classroom? If so, you have come to the right place. With 192 free, printable worksheets in this section alone, BusyTeacher is here to make planning lessons easier. This activity for elementary learners looks at a family tree to help students understand family related vocabulary words. There are a number of activities included in this worksheet but you can choose the ones you feel are most important; it is easy to download and alter this worksheet to suit your needs. The last activity is a short writing activity that gives students the chance to talk about their own families which is great practice. If your students have already covered basic family vocabulary, take a look at the other worksheets in this section for something that will mesh with your lesson plan better.
Family and friends play an important role in our lives so students should have the opportunity to talk about them in class. These are important topics especially when studying family vocabulary or descriptive words and when discussing holidays or vacations. These are just a few times you should think about using these topics in your lessons but there are many more and the worksheets available in this section should give you some inspiration for lesson plans.
