Present Continuous Magazine Search

This is a highly competitive warmer that will get your learners energized. Hand a bunch of magazines to your students. One per small group should be fine, but if you only have a few students, one per student is even better. Say a Present Continuous sentence ("A man is reading a book", "People are talking", "Kids are playing" etc. Students race to find a picture in the magazine that would match this sentence.

Instead of magazines this can be done with flashcards, any photos or other loose pictures. If none of those are available, try using textbooks (you'll probably need to first make sure there ARE pictures for your sentences there!)
