This powerpoint presentation can be used as a get-to-know-you or icebreaker activity with a new or existing set of students. It is a great way to learn about your students' likes and dislikes and generates very interesting discussion. Suggestions on how to use the activity: 1) Present this scenario to students: they are waiting for a delayed flight and have nothing to pass the time. The airline has provided them with a voucher for 2 magazines from the magazine shop. Unfortunately, the shop has a limited selection in English. Show students the options and ask them to choose 2 magazines they would likely read and 1 that they would never read. Students do not tell anyone their choices. 2) Pair students up and ask them to guess which 2 magazines their partners chose. 3) Share as a class or in small groups.
