Countable and Uncountable
This worksheet is based on some countable and uncountable food. Firstly, students try to identify foods we can or can't count by writing them down in the correct chart. Secondly, teacher explains the way we can turn uncountable words into countable using "containers" (some sugar/salt, bag of sugar/salt, spoon of sugar/salt, some bread, slice of bread, loaf of bread, roll of bread, some chocolate, bar of chocolate, bonbon). Thirdly, students answers the questions using the correct container. Then, they complete the gaps using Some, Any, A, An. Finally, there is a Speaking Activity: students should make a list of foods they can or can´t eat when they´re on a diet. Teacher should try to make students use the prompts in the useful language box (on the right).
