A major hit with adults, this worksheet is for Frank Sinatra or Liza Minelli's "New York, New York". It starts with listening for the gist. Then it works on the meaning of some expressions from the lyrics. It finishes with a speaking task. I've also used this song as a filler for those nasty 5 minutes at the end of the lesson. I had taught the future and playing the sing-along video turned the song into a nice pronunciation practice of contracted "will" and "going to".
