Getting to Know You!
I usually use this exercise as an ice-breaker for the first time teaching upper-intermediate and advanced students. Its a pair work exercise, where each student asks the other one certain questions, and he/she should be taking notes of the answers. In order to make it more conversational, student A could tell the class what he thinks of the other student based on his/her answers. This will helps students speak fluently, get to know one another in a fun non- stress atmosphere.
