I personally love this song, so I'd wanted to bring it to my classroom in a creative way. We've been studying the past perfect, and the story told in this song is perfect to relate past and present events using a timeline. The worksheet has three sections. First, students fill-in the blanks with past forms of some verbs. Second, they complete a timeline using the events described in the lyrics putting them in a logical sequence. Finally, students write sentences using the timeline events and the past perfect. I hope you enjoy it! :)
