It is now the tradition in many American families to read or recite the poem "Twas the Night before Christmas" (1822) by Clement Moore every Christmas Eve. Let your students get into the Christmas spirit by listening to the poem, filling in the gaps with the words and learning at least 1 verse of it. OR it would be great fun to organize a reciting competition - the person who'll learn more than the others will get a prize!
