Taught this song in conjunction with a unit about Native Americans and the wild west. Short synonym matching included. Students had fun trying to sing along. Prior to teaching the song students learned where each tribe mentioned in the song is lives within the United States and labeled them on a map. (Great to use with the Native American Animal Vocabulary Matching page listed on my profile as well!)
