This is a song used with my intermediate students at a Thai high school. The aim of the lesson was to reinforce the structure, usage and function of the second conditional. 1. Review the structure and function of the second conditional. 2. Brainstorm: Ask students to tell you what they would do if they had one million baht/dollars. 3. Go through the worksheet task by task, continually eliciting feedback to check understanding. 4. Final task can be done in class or at home. Make sure the students explain why they would use 1 million in a particular way. Expansion a) Put the students into groups. Tell students to rewrite the song, but change the lyrics with their own ideas. Show the next lesson.
