This a cloze exercise based on the song Iris by Goo Goo Dolls, and its purpose is to have students practice listening to function words that are reduced, contracted, or pronounced with weak sounds within sentences. The answer key included. Students are required to listen to the song twice and then share their answers with others by discussing them.
