This is the appendix to the song worksheet 'Cajun Life by Jo-El Sonnier' - search for part (1). The document is a reading text taken from the sleevenotes to an album with Cajun and Zydeco music which gives you information on how these musical styles developed. Note: I did not find out how to add a scanned text as a file so I typed/copied the text; that's why this teaching idea comes in two parts. By the way: There is something missing in the first line of the song lyrics because I just couldn't understand what he was singing.
