One activity that can be done before giving out the worksheets is on a piece of paper get the students to write down any words they hear. Then you can get them to improvise and imagine what the song is about. I always get them to fill the gaps of the first verse. Give them the vocabulary. Listen, repeat after me and then they do playback with the lyrics in front of them a few times and then we sing. We use this method with almost all songs and they end up learning them by heart.
