This was a great way I found to make my students talk and learn how to express their opinion. It's very simple and it doesn't require much effort. Handout the sheets to each student (or group, it's up to you) and ask them to give a number from 1 to 10 to each topic.
ONE is for a strong belief and TEN for strong disbelief. For instance, if the topic is GHOSTS and they feel like they "kind of believe in the existence of ghosts", they may put a 3 or 4.
After they are done putting numbers, ask them to share their opinion with a classmate. In the end, if possible, ask them individually and try to make them explain the reason for that number.
