<p>This lesson is woven around a 'Garfield' comic strip. You can start by showing this trailer from YouTube (see below) and asking ss to guess the movie. Then ss may be asked to tell what they know about Garfield or discuss their favourite comic characters etc. The worksheet begins with predicting character traits of Jon and Garfield, followed by re-arranging cut-ups of the comic strip in the right order (the comic strip image is included in the worksheet which can be cut into cards and given to each group/pair). Then students find vocabulary items from the strip and match it with the meanings. The lesson ends with a free spoken activity in groups/pairs.</p> <p> </p> <p></p>
