This activity has been created to give the students the possibility of using the appropiate language to take part in a debate. The sentences provided will force them to move from the simple "I think..." to more accurate expressions.


Activity: Draw the chart with the headings and write the expressions on the board (or use a projector). Tell the ss to write down (on a post-it) one of the expressions listed above. (Number the students). AND stick the post -it in the right column .
When they have completed it, check correction and have them fill a worksheet with the same chart . Tell them they are going to use one expression to give their opinion on a topic you propose.(Everybody must speak) Use the woksheet they have completed in class for further debates.
