This is a colourful worksheet to review house vocabulary covered with my 7-8 year olds, and to help them make some sentences in the present simple using verbs like, eat/sleep/cook/play. There are four activities: (1) a sentence scramble activity to say what furniture is in each room; (2) anagrams of key verbs with a picture; (3) a gapfill activity to put the verb into a sentence about each room; and (4) match the furniture word to the picture of the room. You can have the students do it as an end of topic test, or for homework. You can also extend it for more able writers by having them write more sentences on the back about things they do in each room or do it together in class and give support.
