I found this worksheet very helpful to see what the students already know.The students are presented with a number of answers and they have to come up with appropriate questions. For lower levels this could be a group or pair work activity. I used some answers which were quite challenging as they would need to know the difference between present simple - I come from and present continuous - She's coming from... which often causes confusion.
