A great listening activity when studying British and American accents. The same tale is read by a Bristish and an American speakers, so your students can compare the pronunciation. Both readers read quite fast, so if your students struggle with listening comprehension, it would be very useful to start with reading the text first. This worksheet provides the text with all the challenging vocabulary written out, and a short grammar task included (Modal verbs). If you have time you can ask your students to write a short tale/parabel themselves, using the new vocabulary they've learnt. You will be surprised at their creativity! Enjoy!
